THE FAMILY PLANNING
AIMS: Family planning is the process by which a relationship or a child-bearing age decides whether to have children, for loving him, how many and when, and if that method decides otherwise protected. This process is fundamental to our career and we are strongly linked to the duration of reproductive age women. What we want to achieve with this job knows one of the great importance of the midwife in the community.
METHODS: Education to all the population on their behalf and disadvantages of not using, counselling and guide to the relationship that decides to have a child or not, the introduction of the contraception methods to avoid unwanted births or abortions and infertility programs for couples wanting to have children but are unable.
RESULT: Reduction of maternal mortality is close to 80% meanwhile of infant mortality decreased by 60% in the world since the introduction of family planning, also decreased the rate of abortions and death from abortion, which ended in sepsis. At the national level is a clear reduction of global maternal mortality in 94.7% and maternal death from abortion in 96.8%.
This was mainly for the coverage of contraceptive methods both globally 63% and at the national level, reaching 87%
CONCLUSIONS: Family planning is a method not only to choose how many children they have or when but also to prevent future unwanted pregnancies, therefore it is essential to our education to the community.
